Wendy Card OTR/L, DRS.
As an Occupational Therapist for 22 years I have worked in a variety of settings including school age, Inpatient Rehab, Skilled Nursing and Acute Care. All of these settings have had one common theme, working with individuals helping them to gain or regain their independence.
I am married to beef farmer and we have 5 adopted children and over the years have had more than 10 foster children in our home. Our family farm is located in Barton, NY and I work in Sayre PA. My life’s passion has been to help people in any way I can. For the past 12 years I have been working in an Acute Care Hospital helping individuals recover their abilities to complete daily functional tasks, following various medical events. It was after multiple physicians at that facility expressed a real need for driver assessments and rehab that my passion for helping individuals regain their independence through driving was found.
Shortly after starting a driver assessment program, I was fortunate to connect with Susie Touchinsky at Adaptive Mobility Services. Through Susie’s extensive training and personal mentorship, I have advanced my knowledge in driver rehabilitation to become a Driver Rehab Specialist. Using my knowledge and experience as an OT as well this specialized training I am qualified to provide a clinical exam, completed within your home and a behind the wheel evaluation and training, provided within the community in which you live. As part of the training the use of low tech equipment use can be explored.
I look forward to working with you to regain your independence today!

“I am excited and grateful to be able to help the residents of the twin tiers and surrounding areas who have experienced changes due to illness or injury to regain driving skills or learn a modified way of driving safely.”
